I am very glad I showed up to the library this afternoon. It was a very moving and informative presentation about women's rights and the hard work they put in to achieve it. It's sad that in our society or our society in general has generally been viewed as second class citizens. Many women have achieved feats equal to that of their male counterpar t. Many women came together in 1917 and created the National Women's Party. This party was very influential In American history. This gave women an outlet or a voice to change the old ways of thinking and prove their equal status to man. Many women were beaten by their husbands and sometimes raped because they would come home under the influence of alcohol. Which caused them to develop behaviors that financially and morally affected their family. This helps sparks women's role in the prohibition movement. This act alone showed women's ability to participate actively in politics. Not too long after that, women got the right to vote in 1920, a civil right that was long overdue. This was one huge milestone for women's rights in America. There are many still many achievements left to be made, but it wi happen slowly and surely.
To me the next frontier is equal treatment in the work force. This can positively affect women and negatively at the same time. They will have to be treated as any other worker and no special treatment. At the same time that respect is earned in that process. In my opinion women already deserve respect and equality in the work place. I would also lime to see women play a more vital role in politics. There are few prestigious female politicians such as ex-secretary Ri ce and Hilary Clinton. I think this is a good sign for what's to come in the future. We need to change our cultural views so eventually this discussion will be a thing of the past. It's all about how we act.
I'm not a very lucky person, trying to do my home homework has been a disaster. The Internet in my area is out and have been to multiple houses trying to find some sort of source of Internet. I eventually found my friends iPhone and is currently using his data to type this for class. What sucks for me though is that I have a smartphone but is worthless because it is broken. I really dislike android system phones; they are too fragile and mulfunction easily. I need to get an iPhone because without one I would not have been able to submit this blog tonight. It's so hard to type on a digital keyboard rather than a physical because my fingers are big. So I hope I get a good grade on this blog. Onto other news I really enjoyed the discussion we had in class. I liked the argument over women's rights and their roles in society. I think history reflects how we view a woman's role in society as less than equal of a male. Even black males got the right to vote before women in the post civil war era. But I do believe women are playing a much more vital role in society and have been liberated from the common housewife role. Even though hip hop and pop culture try to reflect that the only important aspects of a woman are their looks and promiscuity. I think society as a whole is getting better though. People just need to realize that alot of the stuff is slander and they need to make the choice of whether they support the music or not. Some people's values are more important than the music they listen to. The time is slipping away from me, it is so difficult for me to type that I do not know if I have enough time to submit the other blog even though the presentation in the library was very moving and informative.

Blog blog blog blog blog
I like the video we watched in class. It shows the real side
of the meat industry and dog pound. I believe the way we handle these animals
is in humane and wrong. There should be a way to improve the conditions. I'm
still going to eat as much meat as I want. Hamburgers and steaks are just to
good to give up. I do my part though, I work with the Cherokee county humane
society. I love working and helping these dogs. It’s sad to me how some of
these animals have lived and that their owners have abandoned them. I think
every dog deserves a home and any dog can be rehabilitated. Animals are pure
and innocent in my eyes, people shape them depending on their attentions. My
dog personally would give her life for me. She has always loved me
unconditionally and will always love me. I treat her like family, she even
sleeps with me. She is pretty big though, she is a 115 pound German shepherd.
She thinks she is a lap dog at times. The only thing is, she isn't socialized,
this causes me many headaches. She doesn't like people and is very territorial.
She is dog friendly though. It’s amazing how smart she is, she opens doors and
keeps watch over the house. That is a bad combo when you have friends over and
you don't want them to get bit. She is always on look out, and defends the
house very well. So people need to be cautious, no one walks in to my house
without me checking to see if my dog is loose. Its funny because I want to
adopt a pit bull too. I think my friends are never going to come over any more.
It’s all good though, I need a break from time to time.

Spring break
I hate how some of my professors give out weird internet
assignments. I guess I just don't see the point in it. I guess I'm just
complaining because I'm tired and ready for spring break. It’s So near, just
one more day of class and I'm done. I only have one class tomorrow and It's
Sociology. I do have a test but I'm very confident that I will be ok. I love studying
sociology, I took Sociology in High school. I took AP Psychology too, so now I
have to get college credit for Sociology. I'm doing very well in that class, I
know this because He has statistical breakdown for Tests. I can See where I
rank in the class by looking at his chart. I just need to improve my grade in
this class and it will be smooth sailing from here on out. I always try to do
as much as I can in a day. I cook, clean go to work, school, and try to keep a
social life. I think I do a pretty good job balancing it all out. I Know I let
this class slip a little too much. That’s why I have to give up something, so I
can better myself as a student. Its weird that we are half way through this
semester already, Its flying by fast. I really hope I did well on your midterm.
If I did maybe I can build some more momentum for me here on out. I Really just
want to finish the semester strong. Because my goal is to eventually transfer
out of this college. I would like to go to Florida State University, That is my
favorite school. I would have the time of my life there. That is motivation
enough to keep me focused.

Its my Blog, so I sha'll atempt to entertain you. First of all noticed the picture, it looks like this particular person is trying to send a message. Assuming this person in the picture is Native American, Then I think he is making a point about living conditions. If he is not Native American, he needs to quit doing drugs. Its just not good for your health to do drugs. Every drug takes a toll on your body, and your mind. Now back to him maybe being native American, I think this picture might be an Indian Reservation. The man is dressed up in his yellow feathered attire and looks lively. He kind of looks like Big Bird. I think this picture reflects a deeper meaning, he looks lively while his enviroment sucks. This guy has a positive outlook on life. I honestly Think this shows the spirit of their people. Being able to endure so much and keep going. Having that inner strength to not give up. The power with in keeps them going. Then I found it was for mardi gras, This killed the idea of that for me. Now I think I'm just an idiot. I know I'm not though.

My favorite class is political science. I Love that class,
Political science was my original major. My current major now is physical
therapy. When I was in highs school I was amazing in every social studies
class. I had Ap Government, AP Economy, AP Word History, AP European History,
and Honors American History, and a current issues classes when I was in highs chool.
I love American History, and American Govrnment the most. I love how our
country was founded on certain freedoms. I love how their was a struggle
between Federalist and Anti Federalist to make the constitution. The fact the
Anti Federalist fought for a bill of rights for the people. The Bill of rights
have proven needed over and over again through our history. We Citizens have
our part to make sure that our rights our uphelded by our government. This was
my basis for wanting to be a politician. I wanted to make my way up the ranks
and be part of the United States Congress. I just wanted to vote for the right
things in legislation. Be honest to who I am. Prevent pork Barrel Legislation
just so I could be re-elected. To do things for the better for our government.
See our whole voting process to pass a bill in congress is out of whack.
Everybody has their party affiliation and doesn't want to put a bi-partisan
effort to get things done. Instead everyone scratches each others back to vote
a certain way. I wanted to never let lobbyist, local pressure, campaign
boosters, or party affiliation get in my way. I eventually came to the
realization that I had no chance of achieving that. Political parties killed
our country, It causes us to settle for mediocrity. We Settle for a compromise
that can’t fix our problems. This is why I changed my major.

blog 4
I really need to start writing these blogs earlier. The later i wait the worst off I am. Honestly it has made my grade in this class slip for no reason at all. I'm disappointed in myself because of it. Now my goal is to forget the past and take control of now. I will definitely take advantage of every opportunity that I have to better myself. Becoming a better writer, and better student is my goal for the semester. I think I will do great because I'm a competitive person. I just have to stay on task, but its not easy. I work two jobs and don't sleep enough. On top of that I still have a good social life. I just wish there were more hours in a day. I guess I just need to realize I can't do everything, I have to sacrifice something. Well that's enough about that topic. I'm tired, and I'm honestly writing what ever comes to mind. All i Know is I have work at 3:30 in the morning. I love my job, its just stressful waking up like that during week days. It has me trained to wake up to early. Sleeping in late for me on the weekends is about 9:00 am if I'm lucky. I guess that's a good thing, a lot of people in my age group sleep to much. I mean most of my friends aren't up for the day until noon. Well I need to finish up with this assignment, I have to do some chores. Tonight is trash night, and I have been doing a lot of cleaning. I feel bad for the garbage man. He will be at my house for like five minutes. Well I'm over exaggerating, but you get the point. Well it looks like I'm done now. That's good, because I have stuff to do.

Its funny how much things can change quickly. I mean since school has started i have switched jobs twice and made alot of new relationships with people. It's weird for me to think about it. I just recently stated working just last summer. i was holding signs for a pizza restruant. I got paid to look like an idiot on the side of the road and swing a sign around. I will say that job paid well, and paid cash every single day. The hour were definately not enough and i got hooked on the money. Then in october i started working for UPS. Many people know what UPS does but they dont know what it stands for. It stands for United Parcell Service, and Its all about logistics there. They care more about time and efficiency then how the packages are handle. I work preload, my shift is from 3:00 am to 8:00 am. Its tough to do but I enjoy it. The next Job i got was in November, I started working for Johnny's pizza. This was a second job i had until this semester. It didn't pay great but it was a second job, and gave me alot of hours. Well i quit working at Johnny's because it started affectjng my school work. So after the New Year I was Jobless, i Was only a seasonal hire for UPS. Then finally i got hired back on recently and I also got a new job. I sell insurance now too. It pays well but is very boring, I dont even consider it work.

blog post 1
Today the funniest thing happened to me. I was hanging out with a friend at the front of my neighborhood. We were playing basketball and the game just became more and more competitive. We played one-on-one, then we would play a game of Horse. I was having a pretty lucky day, winning a couple of games. We were in a game of horse when we get a phone call from another friend. He said he was chilling and was going to be dropped off at the basketball court in an hour. So I just went back to playing basketball. My friend who i was with noticed that it was getting late. There were no cars left in the parking lot and was pretty dark out. We came to the conclusion my other friend was not coming. So we headed back towards my car. I put everything in my car and hopped in. I was about to pull out but my friend thought he lost his wallet. He found it on the floor of the car. As he looked up he noticed a car pulling into the only entrance of the parking lot. It was a tow truck. He pulled up behind my car stopped. My windows are tented so he didn't even notice that me or my friend were in the car. So i turned my car on an gunned it out the parking lot. i was so ticked off because someone called to get my car towed. It was only 9:00 pm and parking is allowed until 11:00 pm. It didn't make sense and killed my mood. Then i thought to myself, hey at least i didn't drive out of my way to not get paid. So i realized he was mad too, which made me feel better.
